This weekend, we have received Games™ magazine with a featuring an in-depth look into whether the Apple iPad could be a serious contender in the next handheld race. But the oldschool games are still predominant into iTunes store as you can see below.

The last page of this issue reminds you an invasion of something,

zoom in…

…and it’s an iPad invasion for European market.

We really enjoyed the review of Cave Story that is available on WiiWare shop for 1200 points.

In addition, the Conversion Catastrophe article says that the Amstrad CPC version is the worst port conversion of The New Zealand Story arcade game:

« The core gameplay and level design are all there, but the are so many other factors that get in the way of enjoying them; the screen scrolls jerkily, even when you jump… »

and looking back at the aborted fan project, King’s Quest IX: Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining.

I’m 8-bit computer Fan, and obviously an Apple //e fan ! 3 years ago, I switch from a f…..g PC to a Macbook Pro. To manage the updates of this blog, I’m using a FTP file transfer named: Transmit 4 (from Panic Software).

Today, I found on their Blog a cool email post where there is an Apple //e connected with an iPad. The iPad is used as a cassette interface with the Apple //e.

Panic Blog says:

« I just saw some photos of your office and couldn’t help but notice an Apple //e. I have an odd request. Back in 2005 I created a music video for the band Grandaddy by programming a text animation on an old Apple ][+. You can see the video here.

It’s an obvious solution in retrospect, but there is something very unreal and amazing about tapping a button on a multi-touch screen and watching an Apple //e fill up with data — to quote Andy Baio, “that’s like WALL-E connecting to EVE.”

People have already did that with also a Zx Spectrum and an iPod or an Atari 2600 and any sound player too.

Thought that subject might get your attention if you are a fan of demake games.
Today, I’ve just finished God of War III on my nextgen console. It’s a really great game, and it was hard to convince me to buy and play it. Finally I really enjoyed playing and ending this game.

Thought that subject might get your attention if you are a fan of demake games.

Today, I’ve just finished God of War III on my nextgen console. It’s a really great game, and it was hard to convince me to buy and play it. Finally I really enjoyed playing and ending this game.

In the meantime, I was quite suprise by reading RetroGamer magazine (page 13) that something was related to « Bit God of War« . After a quick search on my favourite search engine, I found something scheduled to be launched by a Canadian game developer, named Holmfry.

Holmfry writes :

After a short .. 2 year long.. hiatus, we’ve officially resumed our efforts on Bit of War! Re-inspired by Eric Ruth’s Left 4 Dead demake, and excited by the Pandora’s Box that will soon arrive on my porch, the time feels right to reignite the flames that fuel this project.
[…]
The project is currently slated for a release date of sometime before Duke Nukem Forever.

The latest message on his blog says that he’s finalizing how gameplay is going to be, with just the first level built and will be the first boss fight.

Stay tune and prepare to play with 8bit Kratos !

Designed by Chris Naylor within a week, as a Christmas gift concept, the Invader Toaster is just like an ordinary toaster enclosed in the body of a Space Invader Shooter.

VishalMishra from Walyou says :

It’s green colored body has two red eyes and a slot which is it’s mouth, serving as a handle that definitely makes it portable, while the interior part of the toaster is black. One very unique or rather weird feature about this toaster is that, it leaves a black colored Space Invader Shooter logo on the bread toast and yes, it does work like a perfect Toaster! So wake up every morning to have your favorite Space Invaded breakfast and enjoy every bit of it!
